Its been a while since we had time to get back to this Blog we have just been a bit busy, But we have been on a 10 day trip to Tasmania and what a great place to visit.
It all started with the floods in South east Queensland, and then Cyclone Yasi, Jacki and I just got sick of the rain and wind so we decided to go south to Tasmania, well the first day was fine then we drove up the east coast to meet the worst floods that Tasmania has had in 47 Years.
Having said that the weather was lousy we had a great time, after picking up our 4x4 Camper van we stocked up with food and Wine and headed of to our first overnight stop which as yet we had not really out much thought in to

Mission Beach

While we are sitting around in Townsville waiting for Cyclone Anthony to make up its mind what it is going to do,I thought that I would tell about our little holiday we had at Eco Village at Mission Beach.
We had the resort to our self, which is a bit sad really because the resort is great and Mission Beach is suffering from a lack of visitors.

Beach house

Eco Village is set in a rainforest setting right on the beach, we stayed in a self contained beach house about 30seconds from the beach.

The units are very clean, tidy and well maintained, mine host Dan is a great bloke and has been at Mission beach for a long time, so he can help if you want to look around or are interested in a bit of info about Mission Beach or the surrounding area.The Eco Village is well set out and has plenty of facalities and a great pool.
